She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver, followed by her doctorate degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She completed family practice residencies at Tucson General Hospital in Tucson, Arizona and Eastmoreland Hospital in Portland, Oregon.Dr. Hoffman found her love of science and the mysteries of the human body when she was dealing with her own medical issues as a young child.
